The Struggle on Terra

So based on recent vocular being used by the White House the new campaign slogan for the Terra War is now "The Struggle Against Terror".

People struggle with drug abuse, alcoholism, depression - even what tie to wear in the morning. Reducing the fight against terrorism to a struggle is like calling the Revolutionary War a minor scuffle between the Colonies and Great Britain.

Supposedly the White House's stance is that 'war' gives people the imagery of military and uniforms and terrorism encompasses neither. Let's ask our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan what they are fighting in? How many responses would be "it's a struggle". Last I knew no one ever had an RPG fired at them in AA or at the drug clinic.

Scarborough Country - Scranton You Are NOT

Ok so I'm watching Scarborough Country tonight because I need a good laugh every now and then and an ad for the show comes on. I believe it starts off with "Where is Scarborough Country".. It starts and points to Albequerque, NM. Then goes somewhere else which I really didn't pay attention. Then something struck me that I had to rewind the DVR and playback to believe. Right there on my TV, Scarborough Country pointed to Scranton, PA. Are they friggin serious? Approximately 65% of Scranton residents are Democrat - if you extend that to Lackawanna County it's about the same. Northeast PA is and has historically been a very liberal area.

Tomorrow I'll post by letter of disgust.

For what it's worth, Michelle Kosinkski, who is covering MSNBC's marathon coverage of the Natalee Halloway disappearance can come to Scranton anytime.

Someone should just bitch slap Cheney

Since his "last throes" comments Iraq has been bloodier than ever and now civil war seems imminent. This administration needs to come to the front and admit things aren't as rosy as they would like us to believe. As more and more Iraqis - and Muslims - die the worse things are going to get over there.

Home with my son today. Hope to get on a few times.. More later.

London Bombers - British

Forensic evidence is pointing to 4 British nationals as being responsible for the suicide attacks on the London underground and bus. What a kick in the balls this is to all British people.

This would be like finding out the strange genital rash that you have developed was given to you by your spouse from a VD they picked up while on their last business trip. You know the infiltrator, you are pissed at the infiltrator, but you can't bring yourself to really hate the infiltrator because you love them.

The British people now need to get some strong ass antibiotics and rash cream and hope internal antibodies can filter out any more remaining virus cells.

I may not be the smartest man...

but if I was talking to one of my friends and they said "Tom's" wife or "Michael's" brother I would sure as shit know who they were talking about. I find it amazing that the White House is using the argument that Rove didn't actually SAY Valerie Plame's name as a shot at America's intelligence. The ass covering and and 'Not Me' attitude has gone far enough. It's time for Democrats to start using force and pushing for action and results. People need to start being held accountable.

Guess who's back, back again....

Ok after a long hiatus I finally am getting around to posting something new. For my 1 reader, I apologize - I'm sure that you have been anxiously refreshing like a monkey on crack hoping a new post would appear.

Can anyone actually trust Bush's confidence these days? He was confident he could work to get a reform plan in place for SS - not so, he was confident we could make Afghanistan a sprawling democracy - not so, he was confident that heavy battle in Iraq was over - no so.

So now Chimpy expresses his deepest confidence that Mr. Rove is innocent in the Plame CIA leak atrocity. Going by Mr. Bush's previous confidence all Democrats should be rejoicing because this would mean that sometime in the next few months The Emperor should be fired from the administration.

What a glorious moment it would be to see Little Georgy waving from the White House steps as his political crutch is hauled off in shackles. The only thing that would make me happier is - well I don't know if there's anything.
